He played Carlisle ABC Cinema in 67 I wish quality bands would play in Carlisle nowadays :(

They knocked the ABC down couple of years ago after we got an all singing all dancing multi-screen national VUE cinema, progress eh.

Yep,when he was a big name too.According to Mitch Mitchell they decided to honour all the gigs that were in the book.Hendrix spent a bit of time around Manchester,played the Odeon and the refectory at the Uni and usually stayed at the Arosa on Wilmslow Road in Fallowfield and used to enjoy a bevvy in that boozer opposite the old BBC studio on Stockport Road when he was on top of the pops.
Just as a sideline,Dylan once did a broadcast from the old Capitol theatre in Didsbury,and Albert Grossman took him for a pint in the Parrs Wood.
