Best and worst away day you’ve been on

Remember a bad one at Plymouth. Went from London with about 30 others from the London supporters club branch. Took 3.5 hours to get there. Went 2-0 up by half time and lost 3-2. Got a chasing off some local Plymouth scoundrels too! Could have been worse, two lads I used to go with decided to drive instead, broke down and only got in at 2-0 up!

Best Oxford away 1989 - went 2-0 down and then banged four in - all the City goals scored just in front of us in the uncovered end.

Worst probably the 1-0 loss to Forest and Gary Crosby's header. Losing 6-0 to Derby runs it close though. We had just signed Colin Hendry (too late to play in the game) and Machin said that he might go straight into the team - lol.

Fencing behind the goal at Oxford looks like something from a secure unit. Visited the Manor Ground about 97 for a drab 0-0 with the only memory of the day being Barry Conlon getting serenaded somewhat tongue in cheek by the travelling support whilst warming up as sub.

I went to both those games ; -
The Oxford one was a day to remember, I was supposed to be going down there with my brother-in-law (B-I-L) and his psycho friend but my B-I-L dropped out at the last minute so it was just me and psycho boy, he didn't speak all the way there except for threatening to kill other motorists that dared to over-take him on the motorway, so when we were two down at half time I was beginning to look through train timetables to get home, luckily we turned it around shortly after half time and the journey home was almost normal except for him talking to the fluffy toy air freshener hanging in the car window.

I remember the semi-crush conditions in the away end at the Derby game too.

Ipswich away in the Cup on a Sunday night when we won 4-1

We were a division below them and they were a decent side then.

But the day was mental - got down there around dinner time as me and my mate were both ticketless, but managed to bag a couple early doors in the Station Hotel.

That pub (The Station Hotel) was rocking all day long with Blues, great sing song, a kissogram for someones stag due who despite the chants wouldn't "get her tits out for the lads" and left in tears........but no worries as a female Blue duly obliged whilst standing on a table.

Great boozy day, great result and a great Eyal Berkovic volley!!
Yes what a session
The strippagram was organised by the Prestwich & Whitefield branch & as you said it was one of the lads stag do.We expexted more from the " lady" lol
The girl who then got on the table & got her kit of was not a blue but just a lical who was a bit pissed & got carried away ha ha
Landlord not amused & kicked her out
Happy Days
We stayed for a couple of nights

3-2 win in Munich was certainly the best Euro away in 25+ trips
One the worst hangovers in years

worst away day poss the 4-0 defeat at Palace in the league cup when Steve Lomas swallowed his tongue
Shocking performance
Drove there are back and finished going to Whitehaven the next day on a call out
Bolloxed for days after that
I remember thinking we were going to Wembley that year. It was pre mobile phones so I avoided the score and watched on Granada Soccer Night late on. Elton Welsby came on and said what a show we have tonight and I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed. I took that as City had won and when we went 2 nil down I assumed we’d won 3 or 4. Still never forgiven the twat and yes I was disappointed ffs.

Cheers @cyberblue ........

That day was sooooooooo hazy with the ale consumed, that I've often questioned to myself "did some girl get on the table and strip off"???!!!

Thanks for confirming!!

Top day
