Best away support in England?

We're certainly not the best but we are very good i think.

Newcastle, everton and spurs spring to mind as being consistant without the out of towners to aid them. In years to come everyone will be effected due to the price rise.

The amount of cockney accents in united shirts when we played them in the semi final at wembley was staggering. They kept calling us "manc" or "nothern" bastards.

I was being quite sincere when I said Stanley. I have a lot of respect for them. Tiny club from a small town full of Jeremy Kyle guests, just being in the Football League is a huge achievement, sandwiched between Burnley and Blackburn, two town clubs recently in the Premier League who suck up all the support from nearby areas, and yet forty or so blokes get on a coach near enough every week following them and make a racket.

There were videos of those cunts shouting that all over here after the semi final. Unbelievable that, they support MANCHESTER united but come out with shit like that.

United have the best away support in the country. Your mate was right. I think you and a few on hear bury their head in the sand and deny it just because their our rival and dislike them.

Did you read whar he even said?

No one is disputing that but the fact its some of their fans best chance to watch them as its their local football ground helps. If they play fulham away, then the majority of the "travelling" fans will be southerners. If they play swansea away, then a lot of the again "travelling" fans will be welsh.

To be honest a large chunk of our support live in the south-east because if you wanted to make it during decades you had to move..All clubs have a fair number of fans in London for example.

Bollocks, great big Rasputin ones. I'm not denying there are London blues but to claim a large chunk of our fanbase is down there is complete horseshit.

Well, I beg to differ..

Recent data from charts company Nielsen BookScan reveals that 82% of the latest issue of The Official Manchester United FC Annual was sold outside of Lancashire (the geographical region in which the club is based).

The book is the bestselling annual in the regions of: Northern Scotland, Borders, Northern Ireland, Lancashire, Yorkshire, East of England, Midlands, Wales and the West, Southern and South West.

The only three geographical regions in which it is not the bestseller are: Central Scotland (where The Official Rangers Annual is the bestseller), London (Arsenal) and the North East (Newcastle).

Rivals Liverpool have almost as wide a spread, selling 81% of their annuals outside of their geographical area, with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City completing the top five.

Nottingham Forest, Hibernian, West Bromwich Albion and Heart of Midlothian fans are the most truly local fans in the UK, with more than 90% of the sales of the football teams' annuals occurring in the region in which they are based.

You could argue that but is this only judged by numbers? I remember playing teams in division 2 with sold out away allocations, fans jumping over fences to get in and fans in the home end. This is when the club was seriously poor but the supporters really came through. I think we would have a great case to say our fans have the best away support.

Yes I did but I don't agree with him a huge numer of 3000 will be from Manchester I agree some will be locals but don't all clubs have this

Over very many years experience - for numbers dedication and sheer non-stop noise it has to be Pompey by a mile !
