Trevor Francis at stoke. Discussion over.
It was in the Charity Shield against West Brom in 1968. He scored two goals in a 6-1 win. He came in for Tony Coleman.Bobby Owen at MR v I’ve forgotten. Scored a brilliant header. Went downhill after that.
Thanks. I remember a header but not much else in my dotage. I do remember being impressed but the promise was not fulfilled. It was in the Charity Shield against West Brom in 1968. He scored two goals in a 6-1 win. He came in for Tony Coleman.
Ooh….bit harsh. I stand corrected thanks for that though mateAbsolute bollocks, he was out for 6 weeks with a groin injury.

It may have been it could be my old mind playing tricksWas it not 2 goals against Leicester at home ?
Lad near me hated him with a passion. Could only think Mason must have shagged his girlfriendSeem to remember Gary Mason having a blinder in the first game of the 98-99 season at home to Blackpool.
Unfortunately, he very quickly disappeared without a trace after less than half the season, if memory serves me correctly.
His first touch in the game was immense, right on the touchline, took the absolute piss. I think everyone in the stadium knew we’d signed a proper player as soon as he touched the ballAli Bernarbia. No one knew who he was, bossed the game, subbed at half time if I remember rightly.
Quality player.I remember watching Sylvan Distin in his first game at home and thinking he was a Rolls Royce of a centre half
