Best City Football you've seen?

Different eras

Reading 0 City 7
67/8 FA Cup replay

City 5 Schalke 1
1969/70 Cup Winners Cup Semi Final

City 6 West Ham 0
Capital One Cup Semi Final first leg

City 4 Real Madrid 0
As already mentioned, probably tops the lot.
I was at the 7-0 win at Reading and iirc they announced at the end of the game that was the best football they’d ever seen or something similar.

Birmingham away in the Keegan season in the Championship. Benarbia had joined us. I was lucky to be in amongst the Brum fans (stayed very quiet). It was the first time I'd seen us play such good football. A Brum fan sitting next to me said to his mate 'we're at least 5 years away from this lot' and he made a few comments about how good we were. Still think about that game.

Oh, and Madrid at home.......

One off game Madrid at home

Over all season I don’t think anything will top the 100pts season
In the 100pts season we played wonderful football against weaker teams but weren't exceptional vs the very best. In contrast, in the Treble season we destroyed in 5-6 weeks Real, Bayern, Arsenal and Liverpool by 3-4 goals, playing our best football ever. In terms of top performances against the top clubs it's the Treble season.

The 2 games of CL round of 16 against Eintracht Frankfurt..

That was the moment most of us or me atleast saw what Pep wanted in terms of "control". They almost never had the ball.. we suffocated them over 2 legs even though the aggregate score was only 4-0 (2-0 both games).

It was that game when I firmly believed Pep could win a CL here.. because the CL was rigged against us and unless we won 5-0 the other teams would get chances and calls that pissed us off like the hand ball by Llorente.. the phantom offside vs Liverpool.. the phantom dive by Aguero vs Monaco.. the no foul on Laporte leading to Lyon's 3rd goal..

But if the other team doesn't even have the ball.. what can they do to hurt us?? That was the moment it clicked and it got better and better and we got to the Real Madrid 1st half performance.

Go back and look at it again.. you'll see exactly what I mean from that game..

Good shout! Was that the game Ali did that outrageous back flick for goater to volley home? Or was that v Wednesday? I loved kevs city side....I thought that was going to be as good as we would ever get in my lifetime! What a signing Ali was! Shame he wasn't 6 years younger when we got him hey!
The pinnacle for me was the 1st half v madrid. It was the closest thing to perfection I'd ever seen by any side I'd ever seen in my 50 years of breathing on this planet!

Real Madrid the top.
Chelsea with the De Bruyne winner was superb. Big (very big) Chelsea fan got on the coach after the match and I thought trouble here. He just clapped us and said best performance he’d ever witnessed. Top bloke.
Shout outs for first half v. AC Milan, 3-0 up at half time and also 1970 second leg v Schalke.

Early in the 19/20 season

City 8 Watford 0

5-0 up after 18 minutes
My lasting memory of that game was a tourist of far east origin making his way to his seat at the 25 minute mark and him looking up at the scoreboard with a very puzzled look

I’m certain the back heel was v Gillingham although I might be wrong.
