Coming to the Chelsea game on Saturday with my lad (17), and up until now our visits have been just to the see the game as we come up from the Midlands. Except once when the wife came and we popped into the Arndale to the City shop and had a bit of lunch in the Chinese quarter. As the game is now a 5:30 kick off we'll probably get there around lunchtime and thought we'd maybe see what else we could do or see. City murals, or seeing the cups if they're around were our initial ideas, but does anyone have any other ideas please? We've also got tickets for the Wolves game, and as that'll probably be moved from 3PM if there's anything new upcoming we can plan ahead. Also any suggestions for food, some of the little independent cafes in the Arndale looked interesting...... or are they a bit basic? We've tried most things on offer outside the ground and thought we'd try something else.

You could make a pilgrimage to the glass bridge in Eccles, have a bite to eat at Greggs in Partington precinct, then take in the glory of the "fuck the rags" graffiti in Yate's lavatory.

It’s been a metal bridge for years now.

But a bit like pubs that change their name and everyone stills calls them by the original name, everybody still calls it the glass bridge.
