Best City XI since Premier League began?

MVF was very good..... I stand to be corrected, but I think he scored 11 goals from midfield in the season we had him on loan. We would surely have bought him.
he was ok,that was about it,wouldn't get a sniff now

Sorry, I didn't realise your question was rhetorical.

I know it is all about opinions and I know he wouldn't get in my Best City XI, but he was a very good player. He improved a great deal in the year he was at City and his value increased because of this.

Given
Micah (1st season);Van Buyten; Dunne; Distin
SWP; Foe; de Jong; Adam Johnson
Tevez; Kinkladze

Wouldn't burst into tears if I was told we had to make do with Coton or James in goal.
Yes, I know that I've picked two centre halves at full back. We simply haven't been strong there for a very long time (*sighs* and thinks of Willie Donachie).
It's surprised me too, just how many of that team had a single season (or less) with us.
If I really was manager - and my livlihood depended on quantity of goals (not sublime quality) - I'd pick Anelka ahead of Kinkladze every day of the year.

And now for the nightmare...
Kevin Stuhr Ellegard
Trabelsi; Vonk, Mettomo; Jensen
Tiatto; Negouai; McManaman; Riera
Vuoso; Fowler.

1. Nicky Weaver (for his season in 98/99 alone)
2. Micah Richards
3. Distin
4. Dunne
5. Bridge
6. Barry
7. Kinkladze (captain)
8. SWP
9. Berkovic
10. Anelka
11. Tevez

Some of these may be a surprise but I'm talking about their best performances in a blue shirt.

Daniel Van Buyten is clearly a class act but to include him in this list on the back of a few games is not the done thing IMO. Then again who am I? The post police?

re MVF
i thought that he was average at best
don't remember him scoring 11 but no doubt statto will advise......
i do remember him scoring 2 away at charlton to get us a draw after we were 2-0 down with not long left
he wouldn't get anywahere near the team now, imho
