Best Ever Comeback

The obvious one for us City fans is the comeback against Spurs from 3-0 down.

The Champs League Final when Liverpool came back from 3-0 down against Milan would have to be the most high profile.

Without doubt this for me:

The opening game of the 2010 African Cup of Nations, the hosts Angola taking on Mali. Angola cruised into a 4-0 lead, until a stunning comeback from Mali, scoring 4 goals in the last 13 minutes to make it 4-4.

Forgot about that. Amazing.

Obvious one to start.

It's obvious, but for me this is the best I've seen. Not only were we 3-0 down at half time but also:

Away from home (not a neutral venue)
Best player off injured
CM sent off
Won it in normal time.

I think with comebacks, you see a lot where teams are 2 or 3 down and come back for a draw in 90 mins. To actually have the guts to go for a 4th in normal time was something special imo. The fact Macken got the winner just makes the whole thing even more miraculous tbh.

Obviously in terms of profile or importance it doesn't compare to the CL finals from Liverpool or the rags, or even our own play-off final victory, but in terms of a comeback in a one off game, it was something else.

I'd definetly say that this post sums up the game. Totally understated victory but fantastic nontheless, I understand why Rags/Dippers games in finals are held in a higher regard, but I think the fact that those were finals detracts from them, as ours was just in what seemed like a game that was gone at the time.

Hated it, but Fulham V Us at CoMS a few seasons ago was brilliant too from a neutral's perspective.

The best comeback I've ever seen was Port Vale v QPR. Vale were 3-0 with about 8minutes to go and QPR came back to win 4-3. I've never seen anything like that before or since.

Second to that is our 4-3 win at WHL.
