Yep, Paul Goddard scored a hat-trick against us.

Think that was 5-0? Malcolm Allison blamed Corrigan for getting beat from that far out which was a bit harsh to be honest.

It was a bloody gud shot.I wasn't there ..but I watched it on MotD at the time and seen it a few times on u tube.

Cyrille Regis, for West Brom at Maine Road.

He received the ball in his own half and took on took on all the City team single handedly, ran the length of the pitch and then smashed the ball in to the top corner.

Magnificent goal and the whole ground applauded.

On another note this thread sums us up as fans, can't imagine this on the caff or Rawk

Completely agree that the whole ground was appreciative of that goal. As far as I know it wasn’t captured on any tv footage?
