Sky Sports News have just done a shortlist of the best goals of 2010,

for me the best goal of the season so far is Toure's after about 30 passes but I can't remember who it was against - was it West Ham away?? It got absolutely no recognition by the media, despite it being like that Argentinian World Cup goal which was wanked over.

Email or text them like me - u2us@skysports.com or 84408 and let's see if we can get them to show it
 
Was it just me or did most(not all) seem to be really recent games! It was if they couldn't be bothered to search the archives properly.
They should have a goal of the month and then the 10 winners of that should go forward to goal of the year.

yep agreed it should have been in there (think it was fulham mate) and also if that torres goal was in then where the fuck was silvas at blackpool? which in my opinion was better than the torres goal.
 
I bet that nob Merson must have been involved in drawing up the shortlist. Not seen it myself but I would imagine there are a few Arse goals shortlisted too!

no seen one little thing about that anywhere. now if rooney did it it would be front page for about 2 months, just goes to show.

incredible goal that, thought maybe they would give that an airing on SSN, just stunning.
 
I can't find it on YouTube anywhere but my goal in a 5-aside league game.

I'll set the scene, just come back from a year and a half absence due to a shoulder dislocation (surgery took awhile to get their act together then after surgery took 5 months to heal). I get a txt saying we're a man short and need a saviour, thats where I come into the picture. It's a cold rainy Manchester night I put my boots on for the first time in just under 2 years I have my City shorts and Away shirt on with "Big Mal" "1" on the back I kiss the badge for good luck and the game kicks off.

After 30 minutes of blood sweat and tears there's 10 minutes left my head is pounding my legs feel like jelly vomit is waiting to spew up, I grab hold of the City badge and pray give me Strength, Acceleration, Speed and the god like shot of Colin Bell. I pick up the ball inside my own half my brain says stop but my heart says no we must go on you can do this make this your offical come back, I run as fast as I could completed my first step over to take the ball past one I nut meg another I run towards the cowering defender I fake shot to the right then the left I hit the ball with venom the whole world stops as the ball elovates from about 12 yards out but oh no it curves to the right its going wide *ping* *ping*.

It hits the post and crashes into the other post and goes in, I turn away and in a Paul Dickov style slide on my knees (not bright thing to do on Astroturf) and recreate the famous Wembely 1999 celebration. That is the Best Goal of 2010.





We went on to lose 34 - 12.
 
Not bothered with any preset lists - AJ first goal for us Sunderland away for me.
