Ah I remember Bobby Johnstone's goal, it was the first City game i ever saw (on the 13" TV that someone in our street had just bought.) But after that I'll pick Ali Benarbia's diving header to put City 3-1 up late on in a match against Aston Villa one Boxing Day. He came on as sub when it was 1-1 and transformed the game. After his header hit the net he jumped up and leapt into the crowd behind the goal.

kakhaber tskhadadze v huddersfield away.

Not really an important goal but a top header.

Andy Hill, bullet header at home forest in a cup match, pretty sure we went 1-0 down and came back to win.

I know the one you mean but it was in the league on a Balmy night at the end of August.

The headed goal sent us top after previous wins against Coventry 1-0 and Liverpool 2-1 (still one of my favourite games). Also if memory serves me correct about a month later seventeen year old Michael Hughes missed that penalty seven mins into injury time condemning us to a 1-0 defeat to Everton when none of ghe senior players would step up.

Funnily enough quinnys looping header on the opening day was the best ive seen followed by a Gaudino header against pool?

This one...

The liverpool game sent us top the Forest one was after a mini-slump to put us back on track. Though the penalty was a Reid decision to show his confidence in Hughes.

There are some crackers mentioned.
But my favourite would be Richards bullet header in the last seconds at Villa Park in the FA Cup when he was just 17.
Somehow we were 1-0 down and seconds from going out after we had battered them the whole game then Boom!!!
I really thought our name was on the cup after that, but we would have to wait a few more years to get our hands on it.

I haven't a clue how to upload YouTube clips but maybe someone else could.

Niall Quinn's last minute equaliser at Liverpool 1990.

Wanchope header against Newcastle at home around 2004 was also crucial. Kept us up in my opinion.

Thats it mate it was a fantastic start to the season. Curle tightened us up at the back and anything seemed possible....A month later back to reality.

Love seeing the old footage of the kippax and listen to the buzz around the ground.

Dave Watson v Ipswich 1976/77

It's funny, but that's the first time I've seen that header since the actual game itself. In my mind I had always thought the game was against Norwich until about ten years ago when I discovered it was against Ipswich. Now I can see why I'd thought it was Norwich! That header was like a volley and I've always thought it was the hardest I've ever seen a ball headed. Great goal.
