Best individual performance you have ever seen.

Steve fkn Cherry, Notts County goalkeeper in the FA Cup when they got an injury time winner and we STILL had time to hit the bar (Quinn I believe).

Also against us, the whole Arsenal team that night they were 4-0 up in 17 minutes at Maine Road.

For us, Benarbia at Sheff Wed, Kompany home to United Champions year, White at home to Liverpool when we beat them 2-1, Saunders missing a penalty.

For the away side a couple stand out.

Down in the Championship we played Bradford. We raced into a two goal lead and then they pulled it level. A very young Jeff Whitley scored a scrappy winner late on. Just before the end, The Bradford Manager subbed Chris Waddle. The whole stadium gave him a massive standing ovation - in the Sunday Papers most pundits scored him as 10/10. We talk regularly of the performances that Henry,Kanu,Berbatov and Zola put in against City but this one is forgotten. This was the only City game I saw where Kinkladze wasn't the most skillful player on the pitch. At one point, Waddle and Bradford's other former England International, Sid Cowans were flicking the Ball around the centre circle and Steve Lomas was chasing it like a puppy.

The other one that stands out for me is the very much abused Kieron Dyer. We played Newcastle in an awful game and lost 1-0 to a goal by Shearer which was miles offside. He had just made his England Debut and gave a stunning performance.

A great shout - watch the highlights from the game (from 5 mins in) and someone tell me how we lost that game!

Hate to say this, but Beckham v Greece at the Swamp when he got the injury time free kick that sent England to the finals. Always though the was over rated - but that day he ran the show and grabbed the game by the scruff of his neck. Shame he did fuck all in his other 100 odd games for country.........

For City, as mentioned, White v Villa is up there, Dzeko v Spurs and this below - Andy Dibble v Villa 1990
The clip doesn't show the full justice to Dibble's performance but right at the end you get the idea. It was also the game that effectively ended Paul Lake's career :(

Nigel De Jong in the 4-2 victory on Stamford Bridge was amazing and that is the performance that stands out for me when I skim through recent years.

Best opposition must be Vieira or Henry in a 1-5 mauling under Keegan. Arsenal were amazing that day, although starting with three man defence was suicide from the start.

Adebayor vs Arsenal at home was amazing
Silva vs Rags in the 6-1
Lots and lots of great goalkeeping performances over the years

Berbatov for a 10 man tottenham side. Up front on his own against vinny and micah (?) he won everything. Control, vision, subtle flicks and the winning goal. Bastard.
Vinny would have got my vote for his game against the scum the other week if he'd scored (andd he came very close) Imperious.

Berbatov in a cup game for Spurs at COMS.

Le Tissier played us virtually on his own once at Maine Road.

Henry for Arsenal when he took Dunne apart.

Darren Huckerby at Maine Road - might have been against Millwall but I seem to remember we were down to 10 men & Huckerby seemed to play full-back and Striker at the same time. He put so much effort in that after about 70 mins he ran over to the touchline in front of the Kippax and threw-up. Not the most skillful or creative appearance, but he gave everything in that game.

Anelka v Everton. SWP was sent off and NA played right mid and centre forward scoring a hat-trick that got took off him for an own goal.

There are a few that I can think of. Weaver v Ipswich at Maine road, bernarbia at Sheffield Wednesday, Robinho at home to Pompey, dzeko at spurs are ones that I can think of.
