Best last minute city goal (apart from the obvious)

Kevin Reeves V Leeds at Home... 1981?
Leeds had defended the whole game, extremely negative. Very frustrating game... then a Reeves volley in the last seconds and the ground erupted! Poetic!

Sheffield united away, I think Horlock scored to equalise in the last min and we celebrated like we won the cup. Great memories

Paul Lake at Blackpool in the cup. Imagine all 21 players with the exception of the City keeper kicking fuck out of the ball in the 6 yard box and it rolls in for the equaliser and you'll get the idea of what it was like. Still don't know how the ref didn't blow for a foul by anyone on anyone.
I was at that match mate think it was 95min but the relieve when it went in, your right it was a massive scramble it took ages to go in lol

People have described that goal to me before but I've never seen it until this thread, so thanks to the poster who included it (never knew we'd worn the away kit that day). If there's an online video football dictionary out there, then that goal's what they hould use to illustrate the phrase 'goalmouth scramble'. :)

-- Wed Apr 06, 2011 11:27 am --

Good call! It was a cracking goal.

I was 10 or 11 and sitting in the North Stand that day. There were two Leeds fans just behind us, I remember, who were decent enough lads. Obviously they got loads of stick because of the way their team played - as you say, really negative: timewasting, backpasses galore, kicking everything that moved. The goal went in, then we turned round to have a word and they'd already gone! :)

1981 v Norwich. FAC4. Bobby Mac scores the 6th and ref blows up with the ball in the back of the net.

Technically that game was never completed as the ball must be in open play for the ref to finish the game.

Tony Vaughan header at home to bradford...

ill always remember this coz my dads mate used to leave stupidly early and when that goal went in they heard it on the radio in prestwich!!! haha
