Christ, its the end of November and all the pundits are of the opinion that the league race is between us and that shower. It's now a race for the remaining 2 champions league places and relegation.

Best league in the world my arse. Could probably put up a good argument for the best hyped league in the world.

Wolfsburg and Montpellier winning their respective leagues was the type of scenario that just won't happen here. Before a ball was kicked there were 3 teams with a realistic chance of winning the league. It's great for us but for most fans it must be depressing.

It's definitely over-hyped.

In terms of competitiveness I'd agree. There is 4 tiers in our league. The Manchesters, then the Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Everton (in that order) and then the rest bar the relegation fodder.

In terms of our elite we have weaker than Spain and Germany. Our worst would be midtable in most other leagues though and that's what helps with league credibility.

La Liga is the best league, us then Germany but that could easily change the way our league has regressed recently.

You could definitely argue that with the top teams (us, the shower, Chelsea, arsenal, spurs and maybe Liverpool), but I personally wouldn't get out of bed to watch Southampton v Aston Villa'
, or Stoke v Wigan, or West Ham v ..................' well you get the point. Some real uninteresting dross in the league, we're just very lucky the sheikh came along and invested in us otherwise we'd be lumped in alongside them.

Definately the most hyped league, but I put that down to the English/British taking football to all the countries where football is the major sport.

La Liga is currently the best in the world, but I do think if you take Ronaldo and Messi out of that division it would take a huge chunk of excitement out of the league.

Best marketed league definitely and with most number of big, widely supported clubs (that's why it is easier to market)

In Spain you have two big teams, in Germany 2, in Italy 3.. out of these, I can't be bother to watch any other game, tbh. As much as they may be good teams, I just can't find interest to watch Sevilla vs Valencia, Schalke vs Leverkusen, or Napoli vs Lazio.. I may watch it if I have spare time but won't have any excitement for it.

England have 4 established big ones with City becoming 5th and Tottenham has it's fair share of worldwide fans too.

Im not sure many people want to watch Osasuna v Rayo Vallecano either or 2 obscure teams from the german league but thats how leagues work
