Best left back we’ve had over the last decade?

Clichy but we've never had one like Walker who is out and out the best full back we've had since we were taken over.

Walker is great. Zabba though, as best full back for me.

Kolarov for me, at LB. Better overall and for much longer than clichy.

Clichy he would get up and down the left flank and put a shift in, was a proper athlete but his delivery wasn’t the best. Kolorov was all about twating a football as hard as possible, bit like Mendy now but it would result in it being an assist or a goal rather than the opposition countering.

A combination of the best bits of Clichy and the best bits of Kolarov would make a great LB
They had differing strengths and weaknesses, personally find it quite hard to split them.

Been happy with all of them though I'd pick Kolarov as the most consistent all round performer
Shame about Mendy with all those injuries, hopefully we'll see the best of him soon.

Clichy best £8m we spent on a left back , great defender but questionable on his crosses / forward play , but firstly i want a full back to defend and Clichy was a decent defender , and suited our tactics at the time.

kolarov and Clichy we’re both very very good left backs for us, they complimented each other really well too as a pair. We’ve had nothing like them since. After them it’s Delph.

A prime Clichy in this team would give us a left sided version of walker as cover against the pacy counter
