This lot have got to be up there. Proper old school chaos at All Points East in Victoria Park in London last night.

That I've seen:

1. Ramones
2. Prince
3. Bruce Springsteen
4. Beastie Boys
5. Billy Joel
6. Van Morrison
7. Yonder Mountain String Band
8. R.E.M.
9. AC/DC
10. U2

save your money watching anyone less than Bruce Springsteen and The E street Band..you will never see better live performers.

Recent gigs by King King and Joe Bonamasa were breath taking. But Steven Wilson has now got to be a must see for any serious music fan. His live show is now jaw dropping.

Saw Van Morrison at Stirling Castle a few years ago. A very, very short set, about 70 min, and he couldn’t wait to get off stage.

Best
1. Uriah Heap
2. Deep Purple
3. The Cure
4. Sisters of Mercy
5. The Mission

Best I have seen live:

1. Kate Bush at the apollo Hammersmith - just utterly magical, an evening almost on a par with QPR game for emotional outpouring.
2. Led Zeppelin at the Kings Theatre Edinburgh - just utterly bombastically, pneumatically, feckin loud (but in a brain splitting good way)
3. Genesis Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, Usher Hall Edinburgh. PG in his pomp or ex Charterhouse schoolboy plays tough Puerto Rican hoodlum.
4. Robert Plant and Alison Kraus at Le Grand Rex, Paris. T Bone Burnett on bass and guitar. Musically out of this world
5. Yes, Edinburgh Playhouse, Usher Hall, Glasgow several times. Best band musically I have every seen - Steve Howe is the man
6. Steve Hackett, Glasgow Royal Concert hall is the other man
7. Special mention for Diana Krall at the Royal Albert Hall, voice of an angel and a jazz pianist par excellence. Has a fantastic band that are at home playing jazz or blues
8. Noel Gallagher and HFB, Glasgow SEC Hydro, great band. Good light show. Interesting beer fight.

Not so special:

Pink Floyd, Usher Hall Edinburgh, wish you were here tour - only time in a concert I have fallen asleep. Maybe something to do with alcohol.
The Who, SEC Hydro, Glasgow, well past their best - Daltry a shadow of his former self
Peter Gabriel, SEC Hydro, Glasgow, a bit meh. Lacked any kind of energy or warmth although he had just about the same band as Kate Bush at the apollo (see 1. above).
