Best male and female singing voices

Your preferred style of music will affect your choices, I would think.

As a lover of rock music I suggest you give a minute or two to David Coverdale in his prime. The power in Fool for your lovin' and the smoothness in Is this Love are two good starting points, but there's loads of others.

As for a female singer I'd go for Clare Tory (not just for Great Gig in the Sky) and Sam Brown
 
So many good singers have come and gone and agree with a lot that have been posted but for me there's 2 who give me regular goosebumps hearing, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson ( young and old ) something so specially unique about both of these guys.
