I love Uncle Neil. This is an acquired taste I suppose, but the 'gramophone' way it's recorded is brilliant imo. Which version have you got or have you got the deluxe?

Is the Opeth album produced by Steve Wilson?

I've been wondering about giving it a listen.

It feels like a natural partner to The Raven that refused to sing. Steven Wilson is all over this record. I love it.

Here's a great tool for you guys; online spreadsheet of published best of year lists - NME, Rough Trade, FACT, etc.

It's a list of everything I didn't get round to this year; The War On Drugs, Parkuat Courts, Sun kil moon, Swans, etc. Jenny Hval/Susannah, Neneh Cherry, Spoon,, Beck, Angel Olssen, Manics, Leonard Cohen. Haven't even got round to Grouper, dear god.

My no1 is probably Dorian Concept, which has got absolutely no recognition anywhere :/
