Best non-football sporting moments.

No answers about the City connection to Tokyo 1964 in my O.P. on p. 1; or is it too easy?

For even more FOC stuff, Peter Collins of Belle Vue Aces winning the speedway championship. And even before him, Peter Craven, R.I.P. Remember hearing the news of his crash on the radio, think it was the first time someone I "knew" had died.

Men's team sprint final in Beijing, particularly with the BBC commentary that I can't find.

Usain Bolt's 100m win where he celebrates about 20 metres before the finish line.

I ran my first trail Ultra Marathon this year, 42 miles (67km), I was buzzing for days afterwards.

Mike Hailwood returning to the Isle of Man TT in 1978 after being away from racing bikes since 1967, and winning it.

The Ashes victories in 1981 and 2005.

England winning the rugby world cup in 2003.

McEnroe beating Borg at Wimbledon in 1981.

Great Britain winning the Hockey gold medal at the Olympic games in 1988. I played with one of the medalists at club level, and had his medal in my grubby hands when he paid us a visit a short while after their victory.

That crazy Saturday night during the London olympics when we won a gold medal every half an hour or so. I was in the pub, and what a satisfying night that was. Sheer joy all round.
The third goal led to the classic line from Barry Davies on commentary:
