Best opposition performance at home

they were great, but Hart handed them a couple of soft goals otherwise like Dortmund it would have been a tight result.

What I always remember about that game was, even though we were comprehensively outplayed for so long, Silva hit the bar from a free-kick which would have made it 2-3 with a few mins left against 10 men. Who knows what would have happened had that gone in...

Hard to pick between Klopp’s Dortmund and Pep’s Bayern. Both absolutely outclassed us.

Gun to my head, I’d go for Pep’s Bayern. They went 3-0 up and then just played keep ball.

The player rotation and technical excellence, it was like they were playing a different sport to us.

Dortmund for me. We thought we were someone and they came in and destroyed us with fast breaks. It was like First Team vs U-18s. Napoli almost did it, too.

Those CL nights against the very top teams are where you measure your forward progress and a few times, in the past, we have found ourselves looking out of our depth. Our last CL game at the Bernabeu announced us in that same way....We are here. Look and see!
