Seem to remember it was Baltic that night ?One that sticks in my mind is Lineker's hat trick for Everton, Goodison 1986. At his best he was a truly brilliant striker and we copped for it that day.
Must have been a sporting group as friends of Barry BriggsWas mates with Barry Ireland IIRC
Yeah Paul Power and Nicky Reid hardly covered themselves in glory eitherSeem to remember it was Baltic that night ?
4 bloody breakaways from Everton...
Berbatov is the first that jumps to mind, although Messi in that early CL game was mental.
I remember watching Darren Huckerby when he played against us for Coventry and thinking he was absolutely class. He battered us one day.
You know what, I think you're right. That could be who I'm thinking of, my memory is so poor for this stuff. Not sure he ever played against us for Cov, he was there 96-99 when we weren't in the Premier League.
Bellamy tore us apart for Cov early on in Joe Royle's Premier League season which led to the unfortunate Edghill incident.
We have a winner. Thread can be closed.Bobby Moore , Jimmy Greaves , Thierry Henry
Poor at our first goal.Oh, Paddy Kenny for QPR, stopped (nearly) everything that day.
The accusation was it was fixed for City to win 1-0, but Soton scored first so he never had the chance. Unless it was late on and he threw one in he couldn't really fix a 1-0.Wasn’t that 3-3 draw one of the games Grobbelaaar got accused of throwing? He certainly had a stinker that day.
