96There was a game in the 90s when you won 2-0. I think one side had a penalty saved.
It might have been that game when it was pissing down but your stupid bastard stewards wouldn't allow brollies in the open end.
PS That roundabout near the ground is great. What had the designer been smoking?
Lower Bullens Rd can be like watching through a letterboxHate Woodison.
Unfortunately I believe its all changed with the redevelopment, had some great days there though Negredo to Milner was one of the best goals I’ve seen in the fleshFulham. No cocky fans and an amazing location. Not been since Barton scored but love Craven Cottage. Like Palace too. Old school outside drinking.
I hope it is the same. It had a rugby vibe where nobody wanted to be Charlie big spuds.Unfortunately I believe its all changed with the redevelopment, had some great days there though Negredo to Milner was one of the best goals I’ve seen in the flesh
...yes it was in the PL era, and it was utter shite. I went once and only found out after the game that I had been in 'the Upper tier'... felt like we were on the touchline. Mind you, having an over zealous copper who didn't like bad language stood behind me meant that I was ejected from the ground less than 10 minutes into the game. The worst Premier League ground I have been to has to The Dell. Southampton obviously have since moved, but I'm sure they played there in the early years of the Premier League. Really ugly, mismatched ground with very little atmosphere.
The away section was divided into about 3 'cages'? though they may have had seats at the end (?).
Selhurst Park could defo do with a bit(a lot?) of modernisation and if you're travelling into London is a bit of a pain to get to.
Blackburn in the October heat.lol.
It’s a shit view if you’re on the top tier at the back. I remember when Wanchope scored a late equaliser against Fulham when they were playing there and I had to wait till match of the day to see itObviously not been for a while, but QPR away was always a good one I felt.
Generally we did okay there (even when we were a bit shit) we always seemed to take a good following creating a good atmosphere in the ground and local pubs. (the FA Cup game in 1993 in particular was a brilliant atmosphere in the away section) Also, I don't really ever remember any real bother with the home fans.
