Best place/hotel to stay for the final, and best pubs to drink (not the Torch)

Hi everyone,

I'm a lifelong City supporter who's lived in Sydney, Australia, my whole life. My dad grew up in Manchester and was a season ticket holder for most of his life until he moved to Oz and started a family. His favourite day of the year was always the FA Cup Final — a real highlight in our household growing up.

Fast forward a few years and I'm now 40, with a great little family of my own and three young kids.

Anyway, to get to the point — I've been incredibly lucky to score a ticket to this year’s FA Cup Final through the Sydney Official Supporters Club. I’m absolutely over the moon. It’ll be my first time attending a match in England, and I’ll be flying over solo just for the game.

I’d love to meet up with some fellow Blues before kick-off — maybe grab a few beers on the Saturday and soak in the build-up. If anyone can point me in the right direction for where City fans are meeting pre-game, I’d really appreciate it. Would be great to chat with some local supporters before the big one.

Thanks in advance, and can’t wait to be part of it all!
Ger the tube to Ruislip and go into the Wealdstone ground mate.

Booked premier in Watford central again for 2 nights , come on city

Watfords great, stayed there for Forest semi.
15 mins on fast train.
If staying over Sat nights good, even for a FOC like me who still thinks hes 25.

Come in at Wembley Central station so pubs on way theirs this time but quite like a change.

Cant wait, Im in the 1894 singing section and despite my age will be singing my bollocks off.

Well done 1894.

Train Friday afternoon, flat in soho and in the porcupine Leicester Square for tea time. Can’t fucking wait.

So what are the other options in Wembley on the east side?
The East side is shite. You can go to Harrow before, just a few tube stops from Wembley Park. You can go to Baker/Street /Marylebone area and get the train to Wembley Stadium Station (9 minutes). You get some neutral bars in some of the hotels but they have tried to enforce guests only in recent years. That said I have got in the Ibis (without colours) several times and it has been mixed fans inside.

I'd disagree with that. Being going in there pre Wembley for over 10 years and it's normally a 50:50 split. Even with Utd and dippers. Only time we've been outnumbered was against Forest.
We were definitely outnumbered in there vs Sheffield, only time I've seen it that bad although I didn't go in there for forest

I've never had a drink in those east side pubs

Either central london or Ruislip if driving, then tube into wembley park

All the pubs south of Wembley will be full of Palace. Harrow on the Hill is a good shout for us. I was in the Royal Oak before the semi. Spoons in Harrow often has a great atmosphere too. Most stations on the north of the Met line are close to decent pubs. I’d recommend Croxley. The food is half decent in the Red House across the road from the station. Personally I prefer the Fox and Hounds which is less than five minutes from the station and a pint is about £4.50. There is parking at Croxley station.

We are getting into Euston about 1030, usually go to.the green man, qny advice where we can go on thevway to wembley? Thanks blues
