Best place/hotel to stay for the final, and best pubs to drink (not the Torch)

I sometimes park at Stanmore but I don’t think that there’s a single pub there anymore. Weird.

All the pubs south of Wembley will be full of Palace. Harrow on the Hill is a good shout for us. I was in the Royal Oak before the semi. Spoons in Harrow often has a great atmosphere too. Most stations on the north of the Met line are close to decent pubs. I’d recommend Croxley. The food is half decent in the Red House across the road from the station. Personally I prefer the Fox and Hounds which is less than five minutes from the station and a pint is about £4.50. There is parking at Croxley station.
We’ve stayed in a Premier Inn there for 90% of the Wembley games since 2011 at Croxley Green. We get the tube into Harrow on the Hill usually as well . Not enjoyed Harrow the last few times though, doesn’t seem as popular . Sheff U and United have had the spoons there of late and the O’neills has now gone . We’ve had to make do with the small bar on the corner opposite the Wetherspoons.
This time though I’m staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Watford. Debating whether to go Wealdstone or Harrow

I’m only speculating but I doubt many Palace will make their way to Harrow coming from south London so we should have all the pubs this time.

I think a lot of Palace fans will drink in central London. They will be coming from South London and know the pubs round Wembley are shit. The Chelsea fans arrived at the last minute when we played them. London fans know the territory.

So do we by now tbf, given how many times we’ve been there in the last decade or so
Generally avoid the area immediately around Wembley, much better pubs and better value to be found even a few stops away

Anyone staying/stayed in high wycombe is there decent pubs restaurant in the town.
Lots of good pubs. Two good curry houses near the station for starters.

I'm going down with my 2 kids and am thinking of going to the BoxPark before the match as my train gets into Webley rather than central London. Has anyone been there before? any good? I'm struggling to book tickets on their website, has anyone managed it?

It’s been allocated to Palace fans.

Staying near Heathrow Fri/Sat night as got a decent Hotel with parking dirt cheap. Uber to Uxbridge Saturday lunchtime - pre and post match there, taking the Metropolitan Line to Wembley Park.

I wouldnt go near any of the pubs allocated to us on the East side as from experience the lions share are absolute shitholes - theyre ace if you like overcrowding, overcharging, plastic pots and Fosters lager but otherwise Id booze well away from the ground.

In the past when we've gone in a minibus we've either parked up at Wealdstone FC, stayed for a bit & walked 10 mins & had a few pints near Ruislip Manor station & straight into Wembley Park (there is also some decent takeaway places & offies for the way home near the station) or we've gone to Ickenham. Free parking at the station, straight into Wembley Park & a couple of nice pubs close by). Early train this time, might chance Borough Market by will probably be all Palace.

I've been twice as my mate's lad is disabled.

It's like a cross between the old City Square and Ceebeebies live. Utterly cheesey and so loud you can't even talk to your mates. Moonchester and all that shite. It's the best option for kids I suppose.
