Best place/hotel to stay for the final, and best pubs to drink (not the Torch)

My dad grew up in Manchester and was a season ticket holder for most of his life until he moved to Oz and started a family. His favourite day of the year was always the FA Cup Final — a real highlight in our household growing up.

Fast forward a few years and I'm now 40, with a great little family of my own and three young kids.

Anyway, to get to the point — I've been incredibly lucky to score a ticket to this year’s FA Cup Final through the Sydney Official Supporters Club. I’m absolutely over the moon. It’ll be my first time attending a match in England, and I’ll be flying over solo just for the game.

I’d love to meet up with some fellow Blues before kick-off — maybe grab a few beers on the Saturday and soak in the build-up. If anyone can point me in the right direction for where City fans are meeting pre-game, I’d really appreciate it. Would be great to chat with some local supporters before the big one.

The Torch just up from Wembley Park tube is one of the main pubs used by fans on the east side of the stadium. Overpriced beer in plastic cups but will be rammed with blues. 10 minute walk to stadium.
 
Wealdstone have said they're fully booked, no walk ups if you've not booked. Don't know how keen they'd be

a lot of pissed up friendly blues no doubt !
 
Has everyone received a link to their cup final tickets?

I only received an email receipt but not yet got another email link to the mobile wallet
 
Am more excited for this game than the no show last year, hate Palace from 80's and 90's experiences, lets hope we turn up and send KDB off in style, winning a major trophy in a poor season, most clubs would snap our hand off for that!
