Best place/hotel to stay for the final, and best pubs to drink (not the Torch)

London's food and drink is identical to that you can find in Manchester only more expensive and more difficult to find.

Comparing the popular/ touristy areas, the price difference between Manchester and London is non existent now, generally speaking.

Even went in a couple of pubs before the Semi Final and thought… Wow, that’s cheap. As mental as it is thinking £6 odd for a pint is cheap.

Can’t comment on food. Don’t eat on drinking days.

tbf the decent ones are pretty spread out...similar prices to cent Manchester now though

We were in there for the last two FA Cup Finals. It was a lovely pub. I think it closed shortly after in June last year looking at their socials .
Always great when the old governor who was a blue ran it... put on old reals of matches upstairs after the Stoke 2011 from memory

Don’t know about anyone else but really buzzing for this. The last 2 finals have been too anxious. I’m just going to enjoy the occasion and I’m under no illusions that it’s going to be easy .
Setting off at 6:30 hopefully get to Watford for 10 and get a brekkie from Wetherspoons and then on to Harrow on the Hill and the stay over in Watford (hopefully with another trophy under our belts )

I’m probably going drinking round Baker Street before the game. Not been there before so anyone got any pub recommendations?

Staying Watford junction, booked a recommended Lebanese restaurant tomorrow night, but anyone know best pub for tomorrow morning/lunch

Great Portland Street tube area is decen
Greene Man and Albany are good
Usually a few Ciry in there

Going to go with the tried and trusted. Staying in Holiday Inn Express Watford. Brekkie in Wetherspoons, Couple in O'neills then on to Harrow on the Hill. Normally go Wetherspoons or that bar on the corner opposite. Think its called Trinity. Also a Yates the other end of the street.
Just noticed a pub called the Royal Oak near to the station which I've not seen before. Anybody been? Looks quite decent. Just also stumbled across a boozer called The Junction around the corner from Trinitys bar which I've not noticed before as well
Royal Oak is decent. A Green King pub so a little formulaic. Food and beer ok. I was there before and after the semi. There wasn't a buzz though. Spoons in Harrow generally has a better atmosphere.

Can only echo this. Work has taken me to being London based 2-3 days a week for the past 4 plus years and theres some really decent places to eat/drink if you are prepared to look around, and I say that as a proud Mancunian.
I live in North London now, the diversity is really London's selling point. I have loads of pals from work and football from all different parts of the globe. Eaten in loads of different restaurants and had loads of styles of BBQ's type thing round mates houses from Ethiopian restaurants to Uzbek home cooking..Manchester is much better now for the diversity too. People who live in cosmopolitan cities embrace it, people who live no where near them in homogenous white back waters like Norfolk or Carlisle constantly say it's a disgrace and ruining En-Ger-Land..mental they live over 100 miles away from the cosmopolitan cities and have no comprehension that people live there actually enjoy it and have no problems whatsoever with diversity..fking mad eh?
