Best player in the premier league?

On his day, Drogba. Despite age, the man is immense, and unstoppable. Both on and off the ball he is superb.

There really isn't a stand out player in the PL this year so far.
Nasri has been head and shoulders the leagues best player this season. Along with a few others, including van der Vaart, our Silva and Stuart Holden from Bolton I think he'll be at a top club next season.

My EPL best Player Rankings
1. Raphael Van Der Vaart (by far the best player and best buy in the summer. Absolute stud)
2. Nani. His game has improved immeasurably, and he is beginning to show consistent signs of that ronaldoesque dominance
3. Carlos Tevez: He is the reason City sits in 2nd place. Makes his share of mistakes and misdeeds. But he is the rod that stirs the pot.
4. Dimitar Berbatov: I know it is not popular to have 2 rags in the top 5, but he has been on a tear the last month and a half.
5. Andrew Carroll: Like his style or not, his production is as undeniable as is his presence. He has been practically an unwavering force at Castle. He must always be accounted for. Hype some say- I disagree. He is a permanent force. And he is only going to get better.
6. Nasri: This is extremely low for someone who has perhaps played the best brand of football this year, but that is the thing with Arsenal, the fact that so many of them play this way diminishes the production of each player. But His timely goals and Ability to take the game by the scruff has forced him into my top ten. I expect him to keep rising
7. Leighton Baines: Frankly speaking, this has been the best player in the league who is a defender. Yes, better than Kompany. He has been an all round footballer. Too bad we bought the wrong Evertonian.
8. Didier Drogba: Although he has tailed off since his Malaria battle. He was on a tear to start the season, and that is good enough to keep him in the top ten, but he is falling fast.
8. Cesc Fabregas: Hands down the most talented player in the PL Well maybe not hands down but perhaps by an inch over Berba, Nani, Nasri, Silva and Modric. But he has been instrumental when available.
9. Garreth Bale: I know most will claim this is extremely low for someone like Bale, But I disagree. He has been more dominant in the CL than he has been in the Premiership. Most teams in the PL play him well. But a buzzing talent non the less and only likely to rise.
10 Tim Cahill: He is frankly the best player in the league outside the top 5 teamsm and he is showing it week in week out.

Special mention for, Charlie Adams, Johan Elmander, Sylvian Distin, Nedum Onuoha, Vincent Kompany, Peter Odemwingie, and Aaron Hughes. Players who due to either their position or quality of club, will not get the deserved recognition for having had a whale of a first half of the season.

OH! BTW, he is not on the list... That wasn't a slip/ David Silva is instrumental to the City style of play, but he has not been one of the top 10 players in the league this season. Just hasn't been productive enough. He probably will be by the end of the season as City is built on his brilliance. But production must always be one of the most important yardstick in determining who has been excellent, and he is not even close to too many players production wise. So no Silva for me.

Oh last guy out of my top 10? Joe Fukking Hart!!!! A few more games like Arsenal and Totenham and he'll be in the top 5.
