Best player to play against City!

steve bennet, wigan away this season.he was outstanding for them.

Agree with that absolutely. I also remember a certain Ian Bishop orchestrating a decent comeback against us the season before we signed him.

Paul.

Have to agree with berbafolp never seen anyone control the game like he did! Robbie Keane ALWAYS scores against us though. There have been so many though so i couldn't say one here's a few:

Henry
Zola
Bergkamp
Ronaldinho
Overmars
Juininho

Nicky Summerbee for Swindon - no one gave Phelan as much trouble as Nick did that day.
Gazza for Spurs - In the fog at MR.
Waddle for Wednesday - It was a night game at MR and he was applauded by the Kippax during the 2nd half as he was working his magic on that wing.
George Courtney (L'pool) - if you think the rags get some dubious ref decisions nowadays, you'd fall off your chair if you could see the full 90mins again!

Carvalho this season at COMS. We could've played for another 5 hours after Terry was sent off and there still would've been no way past Ricardo.

Sean Devine tore us apart for Wycombe in Division 2!
And when he was at Coventry, I was really impressed with Bellamy, he caused us no end of problems.
Owen hit a brilliant hat-trick at Maine Road a few years ago too, him at his very best.
I'll stop now because I've started naming best performances rather than best players.

For me Lineker he was always a handful and I can't remember a player from another team getting a round of applause from us before a game!! But the Kippax did when we played Spuds early 90's and fair play he came over and signed a few autographs. I remember being gutted I didn't make it there in time if he had signed for everyone that rushed down kick off would have been the next day!

i remember that game with Coventry and yeah Bellamy was the best player on the pitch by far.

But i'd still go for Berbatov in the Tottenham Carling cup game was a class act............then

Dalgleish in his prime.Hated playing against him.

Ronaldhino was on another planet that day at CoMs.I remember buzzing that the rags hadn't managed to sign him.
Anyone remember the "Dunny splash" on him that day?
