Paul Lake without a doubt
He had everything,could play pretty much anywhere in defence,DM CM AMC
Could pass, tackle,his vision was fantastic,always seemed to have some much time on the ball
Just a shame his career was cut short,i have no doubt he would of played for England(him and Gazza in midfield would of been amazing!!)
I dont recall him ever having a bad game for us, AND he's one of us!!

On a serious note I would say Tevez. Would have said Ali B if he had been a few years younger and produced on the highest stage for us.

Maybe even Anelka!

Just before my time. I started going 88' and whilst I know he played after that, I have no real solid recollection of him. My mate played with him in a pre-match game for Yew Tree school at Wembley in the early 80's at one of the cup finals. He said even then he was head and shoulders above everyone else.

Whilst Ali B was great and Carlito is having a great season, Kinky is the only player I have seen at City who when he got the ball you always thought something was about to happen.

Anelka above Tevez? Interesting.

I took the then mrs to Tranmere pre-season in 2002 when Anelka signed. He was awesome, obviously head and shoulders above Tranmere and much of our squad at that time, but he didn't half frustrate me when the season progressed. Great player, and couldn't believe we got him at the time, but he was either too good for the players round him, or was as uninterested as he portrayed. I like to think its the former, not the latter, but I either way I don't put him in my top 3. Each to their own though.
