Well thank fuck for that.
When this thread started, some of the dross posted left me worrying for the musical sanity of bluemoon. Thankfully, after checking out the last couple of pages, my worries were unfounded.
Thanks to all for some great tunes (special mention for bimbo) there. My pick of the bunch has to be this though. I heard it for the first time in years the other day and it almost brought a tear to me eye.

Another couple of classics from the 80's

Fishermans blues was the first CD I ever bought, this is the title tune and a timeless classic that takes you away to a distnat place:-

A song that always puts a smile on my face and the first time I went to a pub in Australia slapped it on the jukebox and sat down having a pint looking out onto the ocean:-

This is a song that struck a chord with me as a nipper and is still as powerful today as when it was released in 1980. I remember listening to the Live 75-85 version and been as caught up in the speech before the song as the song itself. Springsteen doing what Springsteen does best. He's not done a song as good as this for over a decade:-

Considering the last Pogues song seemed to be popular I'll throw in another. To be honest you could pick loads as they were a dream of a band who seemed to be able to get hold of Irish traditional music and inject MacGowanisn into it and move it forward a million miles with one huge kick up it's arse :o)
