Some Supporters Clubs aren't about anything, speaking from personal, bad, experience. Bad enough that we've approached the OSC to find out how to go about setting one up ourselves so that we can do a proper job.

What bad experiences have you had?
And have you had success setting up a new branch?

It's good seeing many more branches forming.

Chester has been good for an exiled Salford lad. Only a tenner on the bus. Park at the Townley and meet at an ex forces club. Cheap ale and gives the club some income.

No meetings; no social activities whatsoever; no organisation; inconsistent "process" for applying for away tickets (plus 3 of the 4 we got through them were bought off other SC members); generally incompetent.

I emailed Kevin Parker to ask about the requirements for setting up a new branch and the ongoing obligations (because I wouldn't take it on unless I was confident I would be able to do a proper job with it) and he has told me that they are currently "reviewing the process in the setting up of new Branches". So I'll wait to hear back from him.
