best tv for iptv

Hi all

My Firestick + Kodi set up is not delivering the goods any more! Will an IPTV service work through the fire stick or do i need to upgrade the hardware as well. Do i psy for the IPTV and try or go balls deep and get a box of some sort? If a box do i go for a nvidia or mag or what?

PS i'm after streaming films and tv as well as live and most iptv seem to only reference live channels - can an iptv deliver non live in the same way that exodous does on kodi?
I use firestick for my IPTV, works perfect for live TV. For vod ( video on demand) part of the service it doesn't work too good. I still use an add-on in Kodi for that.

Edit.

I've been told to change the settings in perfect player that should sort that out but haven't got round to trying that out yet.

Cheers. I will push the button.

Mag boxes can't be modded but android boxes can, is that how it works considering attaching a VPN is a mod?
You could probably mod them but it just wouldn't be worth the hassle or reflashing. If you want the best of both worlds, something like a Dreamlink T1 plus which has their own IPTV client as well as a android so you can download from the playstore (and possibly apk's off the web). you could then use a vpn app off the playstore.
If you want to do it with a mag box, the only way i know is to do it at router level OR have another machine, like a laptop, broadcasting a virtual wireless network which you would then connect to your router, which is a bit overkill IMO.

Yep i know a few people that have used that and it's supposed to be alright. You will be stuck with that VPN provider though, unless you can hack into the settings, as they have locked down the router so you can only use it with their service. But TBF for the price its a good deal with the trial thrown in.

Kodi is pretty heavy on the memory, i believe you can get a lite version of it but never bothered trying. You can configure IPTV pretty easily through Kodi as well, and it works quite well. Alternatively you could just side load an IPTV app onto it. Most of the IPTV suppliers have on demand films and series, but it won't be anything like you're used to on Kodi. But for that, you could get something like Showbox or MovieHD which IMO are pretty good.
Personally i'd suggest getting something like a Amazon fire TV box, but if you can afford a Shield then go for it. It is overkill but you can use it as a gaming system as well and its future proof, and well supported.

Haha I can only really recommend the best I've used for price and good specs, that's a h96 Pro plus, a few on here have bought one and are happy, there's a link in recet pages on kodi thread from www.geekbuying.com, about £48
finally got round to ordering the box you recommended, its got plenty of good reviews so fingers crossed
