Well thats not down to the players, thats down to the managers tactics maybe Fergie/Wenger/Mourinho want there Holding Midfielders to push up but Mancini want ours to hold back as much as possible.
It's partially down to the players imo because those players are technically better than De Jong.

However, it could just be that De Jong hasn't had a chance to showcase his technical ability so much...
