Just done my football accumulator in the Will Hill shop ,8 teams to win gives me return of £245 (all favourites to win) anyway ...

just wondered what odds i would get online, just checked the will hill website and my return is £388 . thats a ridicoulous difference !

i've always avoided doing it online ...

so , does anyone else do it ? is it worth it ? when you win does the money go into your account straight away ?

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Online gambling ruined my life mate, not saying it will ruin yours or any others but the reason the odds are so much better is because they know once you sign online they can tempt you with even better odds at more ways to gamble.

Knowing you can do a quick harmless bet on your phone anytime increases your chances of betting more and more ... It can easily suck you in - especially in play betting when your watching a game.

Stick to the shop if you have to bet

This is part of the reason as gambling with numbers on a computer is not the same psycologically as gambling with cash. Same as when you are in the casino gambling with chips. You are far more likely to gamble more. The profit margins from online betting are far higher than in a shop for this reason precisely. Like Mark says when they have got you they suck you in. Also online you will get a better price as there are no overheads so they can increase the price. In a shop they have to pay staff, rent, SIS fees, electricity etc.

Not sure if it lists accumulators but it's a good starting point to compare prices

You can add your selections to a bet basket for accumulators. It then calculates the odds for you. Sometimes the difference in odds is staggering. There's also a quick bet facility for some of the bookies which will load your selections onto the slip for you.

A brilliant betting tool.

No I'm getting out of the gambling industry totally and taking a chance on something new.

Not sure he was asking for a lecture on the dangers of gambling?

I'm assuming he's over 18 and can decide for himself if he wants a bet or not.

Anyway, I'd sign up to Hills online if I was you.

I'm not a big fan of accumulators but for people who are, Hills have just started an online service where a football accumulator bet can be cashed in at any point it is still live.

Apparently all bets will have a 'cash in now' button next to them. So you can close the bet at any time.

What value you will be getting for doing so remains to be seen and I suspect it will be poor. But when you hear of people having things like the first 14 of a 15 leg bet up, it could be a handy tool if you don't have the funds to hedge your bets.
