Now's the time to step up a gear. The team with the best mental attitude will win it, barring injuries.
It will only be a failure if we don't win it, if Khaldoon was extremely disappointed with last seasons league campaign he would be furious if we didnt bag the title this time around, especially after the outlay and our main rival out of the race.
I think that would depend on the circumstances and what else happens in other comps.
Say Arsenal went on a great run and got 90 points and we finish 2nd on 88 but win a cup and get to semi final of CL. I think he may be ok with that.
If we fizzled out like last season I think he would be pissed off.
Exactly. The focus is on performance and maximising points/trophy chances. If another team goes on a brilliant run and gets 90-odd points, then fair play to them. However, I find that unlikely to be the case. Plenty of time to go yet.I think that would depend on the circumstances and what else happens in other comps.

So would I be right in assuming that you will think the season is a failure if we don't win the league by "10 points minimum" ?
I think some of our fans have lost the plot. Its ridiculous to think we will win every game, no team at this level ever has, and its highly likely no team ever will.
Regards the Villa game, we didn't win, simply because those tasked with scoring goals, couldn't, some of that was down to their poor finishing, and some, the Villa defending, Villa deserved their point, it was a huge improvement for their new managers first game, whilst we were under par after a pretty tough week.
