We have endless amounts of cash so why are we going for average players. If United were in the market for players their is no way they would go for the Bellamy' and Parker' of this world. Its proven they can't hack the big time, Bellamy failed at Liverpool and Parker failed at Chelsea. Wayne Bridge is also a Chelsea flop. So if he have any ambitons of being top 4 in the future, signings like this will not help. These players would only attract clubs with average managers.

Do you consider SWP to be a Chelsea flop in that case?

Its a fair point, but given our current position in the PL it will be difficult to get world class players. So we need to get good PL players to gain momentum. However we dont really know who we are getting and I am sure there will be some suprises.

Have you every rushed anything, such as building a wall for example. (Yes ladies & gentlemen, it's metaphor time.)

Leeds had no foundation, so after they built part way up, the wind blew, and they felll crumbling.
Chelsea built a solid foundation, but then began to rush building the wall with the finest bricks, but used no cement. Now the wind is getting strong (Abramavic losing money by the day) and the bricks are starting to fall.

Lets take time, use all the correct materials and slowly build the equivilent of the Great Wall of China.

Manchester United and Liverpool signed quality defenders for reasonable prices for players like Vidic, Evra, Agger and Skirtel. Why don't we do that instead of paying a laughable 12-15 million for an average joe.

We are not in a relegation scrap, with a few good results we could be top 6. And we would have these good results if we sign quality.
