Big Deals already done?...........

Makes sense to hold off any announcement while the WC is on, if we have agreed a deal on a BIG player, then they probably don't want countless questions as to why they signed up to the 'project'.

On a side issue, I think it's wonderful how the big teams of Europe now have to take us into account prior to their undertaking own transfer dealings. Whether its player's agents mentioning our name to get their player a better contract, or clubs just waiting for us to turn on the money tap so they can do their deals....and all this before we are a permanent fixture in the CL. Love it!

So much better than being linked with every bosman freebie as we were a few years ago.... remember us giving Danny Mills a 5 year bumper contract - did we regret that. He didn't kick a ball for the final three years and yet he still puts the boot in at every opportunity.

Sorry guys, very irregular poster but very regular reader so bear with me. I can see most ITK threads degenerate into abuse which I think is a shame but obviously the genuine guys are tarnished with the same brush as the sad idiots (presumably not City fans) who choose to wind the rest of us up with nonsense. I watch with interest the threads where potentially serious guys get rudely insulted which isnt on but my question is which historical City deals have been flagged up early on here (not by guessing/reading the papers) and who have been the key ITKs?

Alrite everyone,
I have been looking for a new car recently went to the Honda Garage on chester road, Stretford today.

Got talking to a salesman about cars etc like you do and went inside to give a few details to get a price for my part ex............anyway got speaking about the world cup with this salesman, talks then started about club football, asked who i supported and obvs said City....He then told me that Yesterday he had one of City's Tactical analysts (i have the guys name that he told me works for City but dont know if im allowed to post it as it may get him in shit with the club?) buy a car from him.

He said that they were talking about City and he obvs asked what was goin on with transfers etc.....He got told by this tactical analyst that ALOT (and he emphasised that part) of money has already been spent and several deals have been concluded and are just waiting to be announced..........
I asked what names and he said he that the tactical analyst said he couldnt name them for obvious reasons and that was basically that.

Before you lot pass judgement i just want to say im just passing on what i was told, im not into wumming or bullshitting other blues and i do have the guy's name. Hopefully this means we have already done most of our business already!

hopefully true cant see it though car salesmen talk through there rear so u conclude a deal if you said you liked bumlove he tell you dale winton bought a car etc...why dont you pm one of the ITK's ie tolmies hairdoo pass on the name and see if this guy is connected to the club etc... p.s not sayin you like the man sex just an example lol

I don't understand this tbh. Why hold off? If we signed someone huge it would get the press regardless of the word cup. But also it would be like a meh moment from city, *breaking news: Manchester city sign kaka* city could just let it ride like it's a normal signing and shrug it off like it's an everday thing. Now that would be funny. City webiste says: tevez had a great game last night.. Oh yeh and we have signed messi, anyway back to tevez...
