When does that happen? And if it does, would cameras stop it? Touch overdramatic there mate.speed limits nothing to do with safety - hope you remember that when cars drive by your kids school at 90mph

I'll be honest, at the moment I'd be happy if they filled the death trap pot holes in on our b roads, which haven't been addressed for years.
How much does it cost to fill a hole with a bit of tarmac ffs

Yes, I get that, but my point was that even the plasters weren't even being applied, never mind a clear solution going forward. It appears (to me) that there has been a general decline in road maintenance.Thats the problem - thats a sticking plaster fix. I assume our council found some cash this year as after years of slapping a bit of clag in a pot hole there have been a lot of roads here lifted and relaid in its entirety - billiard smooth whereas in previous attempts in the last 10 years involved just filling at the start of winter for the hole to be back and even bigger in spring
Not sure what your point is? One dickhead?Just think about what you typed there. Lets say you put a 20mph limit in around schools and a speed camera then add in a big yellow painted speed camera. Do you think it would stop it? And there are reported examples so no I don't think its over dramatic.
No jail for biker left disabled in 90mph crash that killed his friend
A speeding motorcyclist who smashed into a car outside a school at more than 90mph has escaped going to prison because of the life-threatening injuries he suffered in the "terrifying" collision.www.expressandstar.com
Then read the OP. That complaint was about surveillance and civil liberties. Two points I'd make there is that depending where you are approaching a speed camera there are other cameras there is CCTV there are Ring door bells and so on so the idea that a speed camera is spying on a car and driver that are probably filmed tens probably hundreds of times on that journey is somehow THE worst thing. Finally lets alight on civil liberties - one driver having bollocks too big to observe speed limits and potentially getting caught speeding somehow has more civil liberties than other motorists, bus users, cyclists and pedestrians?
That's what our Prime minister promised when he cancelled HS2 to Manchester. Full of shit.I'll be honest, at the moment I'd be happy if they filled the death trap pot holes in on our b roads, which haven't been addressed for years.

all I'd say is stop accepting the polyfilla fix and insist via your councillor they resurface - some of the roads around here are like billiard tables now.Yes, I get that, but my point was that even the plasters weren't even being applied, never mind a clear solution going forward. Maybe I see more as I ride a bicycle, a motorbike, and drive a car.
I see money being wasted elsewhere on unnecessary things at a council level, while the essential services are neglected.
Just my take.
Not sure what your point is? One dickhead?
Ok
No, I read it, but I kind of knew there was a personal agenda attached.Nope - that was one of a number of stories I could have posted. A school friend of my son was killed by a speeding BMW driver overtaking a school bus dropping them off - an overtake thats illegal in many countries and should be adopted here.
A lot of my point is in the 2nd half of my post that seems to have escaped your notice.
Where do you live? Any visitor to Manchester from the Airport has to go down Princess Park way. Its a fucking disgrace. Pot holes everywhere. It's a main though fair. Joke.all I'd say is stop accepting the polyfilla fix and insist via your councillor they resurface - some of the roads around here are like billiard tables now.
