France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands take slightly more in tax, (less overall when you include all our stealth taxes). However, the support they receive shits all over ours, the one things its reliant on is having worked at some point.

Trouble with this country is that 40% of people on universal credit are actually working. This is mainly so companies and very rich people can get away with paying shit wages and still make massive profits.
As it’s ever been in the UK, it’s socialism for the rich and capitalism for the poor….

I have 2 very old friends who are ex army (Falklands and 1st Gulf war).

They both live in council bungalows paid for by the state.

Be careful to always point out the bad policy, not the “other” that takes advantage of it. It is bad law that needs fixing. That takes care of everything else.

Benefits are not big money , this is a unique case of fraud, you have to be looking for a job and fourty percent of uc is for people in work to be able to live as they are not paid enough. There are many reasons you cant take certain jobs , travel costs etc for instance

The simple case in America is Walmart. The Walton family that owns it is the richest family in America, but they’re welfare queens, because many of their employees are on government benefits to help make ends meet. In short, I pay Walmart employees through my tax dollars while the billionaire Waltons make ever more profits!
