The third Corrie star to be acquitted by a jury.....

Shocking, isn't it?
They sit through weeks of evidence and testimony and then reach a decision based on what they have seen, read and heard.
What a waste of time and money this due legal process business is.
A penalty shootout or rock, paper, scissors would be preferable.
I know this suggestion is a bit 'out there' and radical, but maybe, just maybe, they were all innocent, hence the not guilty verdicts?

Inevitable. Zero physical evidence so all they had was the word of a group of pensioners about what happened to them approximately 50 years ago, if that didn't scream "reasonable doubt" I don't know what did! The CPS need to take a long hard look at how they allowed this to be brought to trial.
Agreed. It does seem very strange that a group of 'Victims' suddenly become outraged 40 odd years after an alleged offence, some of them returning back to their 'Abuser' for yet more abuse.

So that's Roache and Le Velle innocent.

So that's ITV still holding a clean sheet.

Literally.

The CPS should be ashamed of themselves.
Well, yes, but at 82 I can't see him ordering in the hookers and Charlie to celebrate.

I thought BM had already past verdict? This can't be right.

Does anyone know, what are the differences between the evidence in this case and that of Stuart Hall? Was there a reason Hall confessed before it got to court. If it was similar to this one where there was no physical evidence and it was basically one persons word against another about something that happened many years ago why didn't he just ride it out maintain he wasn't guilty and he'd probably have got away with it?
