This really is sad.

Found out an hour or two ago. Only met him once but the humour and fighting spirit he showed on here despite everything was always something I loved about his posts on here. He, along with Sue and Sam, is forever a champion - and forever a husband.

Sleep happily.

Nice post Bob.

Re: Billy Big Spuds

Met Danny through this site when I had two spares for Everton last September and he and his girlfriend took them both and sat next to us for the game. Danny was well up for it and was right behind the team from start to finish and giving the boys his full backing. It's funny but we sit in the East stand lower and it's fair to say it's not the loudest of sections but that didn't deter Danny from standing up and letting his voice be heard. Good on yer fella.

Both he and his girlfriend were lovely and it's such a shame to see another Blue leave us behind. We've lost some good un's this year but we're still one big family and none of them will ever be forgotten. Our condolences go out to all his family and hope that the support from all Blues on here help you find some comfort when you remember Danny.

Josh and Clare x

He fought so hard and for so long. It's hard to know what to say really because he was always so upbeat and brave about what he was going through, I only hope I could be as brave as him if the same happens to me or somebody I love. Rip Danny xx

Re: Billy Big Spuds

Danny and I have been friends for a good 5 years and he was honestly one of the best Lads I've ever known. He was enthusiastic, lively, funny and kind rolled in to one and I'm completely gutted by his death. Danny was a Lad's Lad and loved everybody.

I'd began to suspect something serious when his Facebook wall filled with posts saying he was in everyone's thoughts etc. A quick chat with a mutual friend confirmed he was receiving around the clock care in a Hospice and we could only wait to see what we were told. I understand he died in the early evening of November 9th.

RIP Danny Lewis. You've been taken too soon.

James
