Bin collections

Welcome to my club Pige, the new black wheelie-bins don't even fit 2 full bin bags in so it's regular trips for me or the house, garden stinks and has maggots all over.

Oddly, you can opt out of the collection service with the council, but they don't give you a Council tax rebate if you do (yes I've enquired).

Do you have bins for tin/glass/plastic, paper, and garden refuge Pidge?
Got one for glass, which I also use for plastic bottles, and that is ready for collecting on its fortnightly date. I have one for paper too which is the same, ready for emptying after 2 weeks. The garden refuge one gets emptied fortnightly, but I only need that doing once or twice a year really. I agree with it all, but we have spent this week recycling correctly but the refuse bin is still full. The drive way stinks, as does next doors, (they have fucking nappies to be collected), and next to them too. Infact i'm going on a smelling spree in an hour to see if the fucking street stinks.

So today around our way it's the first time the bins have changed to a fortnightly-based collection system. THE CUNTS! We have 1 bin and there are 5 of us living here. We have a bottle bin, a green bin for garden waste and a blue bin for paper/cardboard. I recycle well and only put refuse in the actual waste bin, yet a weeks worth since it was last collected last Thursday has it full, which for a family of 5 is normal. I now have to wait another week before the bin is emptied and with this heat it fucking reeks.

The only solution I can see is to take rubbish that now no longer fits in the bin directly to the tip and just leave it for them to sort out. How the fuck they expect us to have a bin emptied every 2 weeks is beyond me, the fuckers.

Are you lot managing it ok, or like me are you fucked off?
Didnt know meself til yesterday, put the bin out as normal seen it hadnt been emptied last night, then clocked a few stickers on other bins about fortnightly collections.. What do they hope to achieve? Probably lay a few binmen off and save a few quid. Fuckin £66 a month out of my shite wage they get and they cant even take me rubbish once a week when i take to the curb for the lazy twats...

We get twice weekly collections and cash back for empty bottles and cans

But taxes here are a bit, well, high and there's no chippies, so swings and roundabouts

How much is it for a pint? (The international indicator of value)

Not too bad, we're not Norway here, so around €6 in the city centre (about a fiver i suppose) and €4 in the suburbs where I am. But that's for dodgy local Finnish lager that isn't great...but better than Fosters/Carling.

Spirits are scary expensive as only government owned shops can sell them.

Looks like HJK are through to next round of the European Cup, bit of luck and you might be lucky enough to try Lapin Kulta and Karhu for yourself...

But i'm not, as the refuse bin is full after a week, which is how it should be too given how there are 5 people living here at times. Like I say I agree with the fortnightly recycle bin collections but the refuse bins have waste in which in time starts to smell, the recycle ones don't. Next door have a baby, so you can imagine how that will smell after 2 weeks. There are flies buzzing around my bin right now, I can see them as I type this. Only fucking god knows what will be buzzing round next doors after today as it will have been more than a week since their nappy-filled bin was emptied. Its not good enough.
