I think we should look to rest as many of the players that played at both Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford as possible. Not entirely sure who is available yet (presume Guardiola will be doing a press conference shortly), but would be a bonus if the likes of Ake and Laporte were back in contention.

It’s worth remembering that our last big upset at home was a defeat by Middlesbrough managed by now Birmingham manager Aitor Karanka. Our former player Adam Clayton featured in that one for Middlesbrough and will no doubt play Sunday (bloody Sunday), possibly at the bass of midfield, which will hopefully be mission impossible for them. Their form is pretty bad, though they’ll be playing for pride, let’s hope it’s a beautiful day for us.

Would be great for Doyle, this is one of the last games of the season he is likely to participate in unless we have a central midfield injury crisis.

That would be nice. Doyle and Torres are perfect for this game. Steffen might have played anyway, so maybe he’ll stay in goal.
