if am right then only 5th place will now only get a europa spot
the fa cup winners or losing team if the winning team has already got a champions league or europa league spot

means liverpool have to finnish 5th this season or win this seasons europa cup

If the FA Cup final is City vs Arse/Rags then 6th will get a Europa spot. Any other combination and it'll go to the cup.

At least they won't have to put up with jibes about Thurs nights on Ch 5.

England gets 3 Europa League places these are awarded as follows

5th Place in PL
League Cup winners or 6th Place in PL
FA Cup Winners or loosing Finalist

If any of the cup qualifiers are already in either the Champs or Europa Leagues then the place is awarded to next place down in PL

Liverpool qualified due to the rags winning the League Cup
Last season Portsmouth should have been awarded the place in lieu of Chelsea but were unable to obtain a EUFA license because of financial problems therefore it was awarded to Villa

This season's qualifiers for next season's Europa League will be 5th place and FA Cup Winners or loosing Finalist or 6th place if the winners or loosers are a team that finishes in the top 5 and Birmingham City
