Black fans battered in Kiev

This isn't a good advertisement to Eastern European football at all. But of all, we shouldn't forget the hooligans attacking Sevilla fans today at Manchester, either. Both City, Kiev and any club responsible for incidents like this, need to be punished (Chelsea last year too against PSG). But why are people bringing up the Russian World cup in this thread over an incidient that happened in Kiev??

Stop wumming or you will end up banned.

Explain to me how Polish fans attacking Spanish fans had anything to do with City.

Backward bastards, makes my blood boil shit like that!
I wouldn't say backwards. I would say un-European and more Asian orientated. Countries like Russia, Ukraine, Belarus are more asian orientated, with the rampant corruption, culture, attitude to homosexuality, etc. Their mentality is pretty much nothing you would expect of Europeans and more geared towards Asian. But, let's be fair with Russia, they have not much in common with Europe. Same thing is said for Turkey.

Sadly you just know we will get a bigger fine for booing the anthem than they will if Kiev are found guilty

I thought that when i saw the video. I dont know any city fan who would wear lonsdale trainers

Hehe....

I have been taken back recently by Racist views of Eastern Europeans.
The Gym I go to is a "budget gym" and is packed full of Russian/Polish lads and with it being next door to a Mosque it also has many Asian people.
I've got speaking to a few of these lads as I'm always wearing my City shirts n that and they seem like sound lads but some have come out with racist comments
about particularly Asian people in the gym.

"These P***s they're the ones who always leave the weights on the floor, never put them back"

I didn't respond to his comment but I was left wondering: Have I just gone back in time, welcome to 1981?

The problem is when it comes to Eastern Europe, Russia and the Balkans there is a very different recent history and hence very differing cultures and values, and they are not going to change anytime soon. So if you choose to visit these places as an individual or as an organisation host sporting events or indeed as a nation welcome these people to visit live and work in your country you have to expect and accept the way they are. Anyone considering going to Russia for the world cup may well find themselves back in 1981, if that is a worry then best stay safely in blighty.
