Its similar to the one on MW2, which had the disused planes on it. MW1 had one like it too. Infact if you look carefully, the map resemble those in MW2, just with different backgrounds and decor. The Jungle one is a copy of Afghan. The 'grid' one is a copy of the building yard one in MW2.

Are there any guns/perks you'd recommend? At the moment, i'm alternating between the AK74U and the Famas, depending on whether is close quarters combat or not. They seem to be pretty good guns, but is there a hidden gem out there that i've not discovered yet? As for perks, i'm using ghost, sleight of hand and hacker at the moment. Any tips for a shit player?

Same but Warlord and Marathon!!

Quite fond of the camera too!!

How does it work mate? I've not tried the camera or motion sensor yet. I use claymores. Is it worth sacrificing claymores for either one of them? I get about 3/4 kills a game through claymores!

I'd love to play it Tim, but i'm out til about 10pm.

As for the bling/warlord perk, you can have 2 attachments as long as they are not undermounted (grenade launcher/shotgun etc).

I use the AK74u and the Ghilal both with red dot and suppressor (silencer).

I added a few of you CODheads last night. If anyone wants to add me:-

xbox - stevinio mcfc
PS3 - stevo_mcfc

I've got blops for both. (sad, i know :-))

What level are you on Trev? I'm only rank 16 at the minute and only have the Enfield and Femas unlocked. I like the Enfield.
Level 24 at the moment. Only 2 away from unlocking the AUG, which is supposed to be good! I quite liked the Enfield too, but as soon as i got a red dot on my Famas, there was no looking back! I seem to do much better with that gun. Can't remember what level you get the AK74U (you may already have it, i'm not sure), but i'd highly recommend it. Put the grip attachment on it.

-- Mon Nov 15, 2010 1:27 pm --

If you're not that good, it's probably a good idea not to run around like a headless chicken into the firing line. With this in mind, move round the map slowly, Claymores can give you a form of protection in that they'll 1) Kill or 2) Give you a hit marker and alert you that someone is approaching.

Try and get used to the standard sights that the guns have, if you need to, go into combat training and find a smooth surface to shoot against. Aim down the sight and fire the gun to see where abouts on the iron sight the bullet hits (usually the tip of the sight). This will allow you to choose a perk other than warlord (2 attachments) and will free the tier 2 perks up for you. - The only exception I've found is Silencer and Grip on the AK74u.

Sleight of hand really will save your life so many times with the reload speed, add to this the Pro ability of quicker ADS and it's a god send. (I base this on the fact that the quicker you're aiming at an enemy, the quicker you can kill him/her).

Lastly, don't be scared to hip fire if you're within close-medium range (especially with SMG's) this game really does reward hip-firing and if you go up against someone who takes the time to aim down their sight at close range you will floor them.

Got a bit carried away there but for anyone trying to adjust to the game their the points I'd put forward.

Cheers for that mate. Learning to use the iron sights and not rely on a red dot is definately something i need to do.

All good advice Carl. The game is so different from MW2 because the maps are so much bigger and more detailed. I used to run round like a fucker with a tactical knife but it doesn't work for me on black ops. I tend to try and get a couple of quick kills and then camp for a bit with a claymore to get a killstreak.

The single player campaign, (the actual game), is awesome. I am stuck at the minute on a bit where i've got a million Vietnamese in a bunker below me. There is a hut 20m away from me which I need to get too, but its fucking impossible! Given up for a bit whilst I play online.
