Black Sabbath last gig

Odd to have all those guys (Corgan, KK, Morello) from bigger bands playing solo. Slash and Duff McKagan playing separately? Whatever I guess, glad they're going to do a last show with Bill Ward.
Been hinted that they will all be part of a supergroup and playing what I assume will be Sabbath covers

This is pretty much on my doorstep. Good luck to anyone going to this if they manage to get a ticket.
I have pretty much seen all the bands on the line over the years. Saw Ozzy in his prime and it was legendary. I will give this a wide swerve! Five minutes per act overpriced food and drink I can manage without.

Be good if it was picked up for live TV broadcast
As it's all for charity
Or even cinema broadcast

Not for me, don’t think it will be very good. On the other hand is there any band older than Sabbath that could still put on a show with the original line up all present.Don’t think so.
The band was sort of a revolving door but I believe all of the original and "classic" members of Scorpions are still alive. I wonder what odds you would have got on them and Sabbath still having all their members 50+ years after they formed.

Yes never thought Scorpions, thought they were a little later than Sabbath, according to Wikipedia , they were a bit earlier.
Edit looking again it was more 1970 they formed as we know them, before that it was more Rudolph Schenkers band not sure who was in it nor if they used the Scorpions name..

What’s the fool proof technique to getting a ticket to these sold out in minutes gigs ?

I’m tempted just by the fact of seeing Jake E Lee and also KK Downing play again.

As for Ozzy/Sabbath, I went to the ‘final show’ at the NEC over a decade ago, and they were on their last legs then. Is for charity though I guess.

I'll reserve judgement on how the shows work out practically because I can easily see them fuck it up, but I'd assume every band gets at least a normal festival set. And in the case of Slayer, Metallica and Pantera that is a good thing because you'd really only want them to blast through their classics at an event like this.

Assume 2 stages either end to keep it flowing and will take all day. Mastodon and Gojira will be the best sets of the day

Started 21000 in queue with o2 priority, now 9000 think I'm gonna be disappointed

The lineup is good but its nothing you don't see at a decent metal festival in Europe or a good year at Download, plus you'll get a full weekend of music there for less than the cost of this.

No way I can justify £250 (before fees) to see an Ozzy that should have stopped 20 years ago. It will be a sad affair, I blame his missus.
