Surely Navas deserves a rest for this one? playing all our games of late, don't want him burnt out with the work he puts in per game up and down the flank, Lets give Lopes a game

Not keen on two slowish CBs tbh. Jordan Rhodes may not be a top class all-round player but the ball has a knack of finding him in the right place and he's a sharp finisher. Nasty should start IMO.
Those two CBs were good enough to beat the European Champions. Surely they would be able to handle Blackburn

Different competition, different style of play. And that sort of complacency is City's biggest danger in these early Cup ties but hopefully the players wont take the same attitude into the game.

.............. Panti
Facey Kompany Lescott Clichy
Milner Fernan Rodwell Silva
....... Lopes Negredo

The FA cup is more important than the Carling cup so I'd risk Kompany, Fernandinho, Silva and Negredo so that we have a solid spine. Id like to see Facey get a chance (Kompany and Milner could help him). And I'd like to see Lopes given a chance in attack (helped by Negredo and Silva).

Please God no start for Garcia - especially if Rodwell starts. Let Fernandinho sit behind Rodwell so he has a chance to shine. Garcia can come on later if we are well up.

Edit: if Lescott is being sold then Demi Nasty instead.

Not when we are already in the semis of the latter and likely to play the rags in the final!

If he is to go it will be at seasons end.

I'd play a strong-ish team. Maybe rest a few key players that have played a lot recently - Vinnie, Zab, Navas, Yaya/Fernandinho spring to mind - but I wouldn't play a team full of reserves/EDS players.

That's raggish and could very well see us knocked out.

I saw Jovetic and Guidetti are no go - any word on Micah? He anywhere near a return?
