just watching the game and yet another offside decision leading to a goal has been missed by the match officials. How difficult can it be for the linesman, whose main responsibility is to keep up with play and call offsides.

As it turns out Newcastle have just scored again so at least it hasn’t cost Blackburn a potential place in the next round.

Probably wouldn't have happened without the offside goal though. Blackburn has pushed forward and Newcastle caught them on the break. So it potentially did cost them the chance of a place in the next round.
