Blackburn vs. Manchester City 2000

Watched at my sister's, don't know which I enjoyed more, promotion or my rag brother in law trying to appear unconcerned and failing miserably. My brother some how finished up in the directors box at Blackburn despite setting out without a ticket. Great day great times.

Me and my mate were on the front row of the main stand towards the corner at the end all the goals were scored. A slightly elderly lady had clocked us and I had a chat at half time. She was frustrated that Rovers had upped their game and basically been crap most of the season. We had a nice chat, no animosity and she wished us luck. Goater pops up and we're on our feet. I was thinking shite, could be in a bit of trouble here. Turned to sit back down and there were more blues than Rovers. Memorable day

Just got to viewing it it's a fuckin lonely conga in our kitchen edit just done we're not really here full house one life one love one CITY
The version of “We’re not really here” that reverberated around all four sides of the ground just before the final whistle is one of the most spine chilling moments in our fans’ history. It was the first time the song had been turned around from a song of despair to a song of delight.

I broke my glasses at that game celebrating. Had to drive all the way back to Scotland with one hand on my specs as they only had one arm left - to this day I don't know what happened to the other.
I kept panicking they would fall off (and I am blind as a bat so would have been a bugger doing 90 on the motorway in 'fog' without my bins if they fell off my nose)
Luckily at least the car was automatic

one of the best away games ive ever been to,got there quite early and couldnt get a beer so we walked up the hill behind the away end and ended up at a wedding reception at some cricket club, after about an hour we got chucked out for not being with the wedding party so moved on to the Fernhurst where we got hammered, inside the ground i was in the side stand oposite the main stand,'went to Rovers midweek for my tickets', loads of blues in there but no trouble but as the game progresed they started getting a bit pissed off, will admit to being 4th in the conga line, that strated off with a couple of blues and as they progressed down the side of the pitch blues were joining up,dont think the Blackburn riot police had a clue what to do they were just hoping for the best

At the start of the following season WSC did its annual survey of fans of all league clubs. One question was " What was the worse thing your club did last season"?
Followed by" what was the best thing your club did last season .
The Blackburn fans reply to the first part was," the ticketing and security arrangements for the Man City game".
The reply to the second question was " loseing that match".

As fans it was probably our best day. The club was on the up and we were the best around..

That shot of the ref puffing his cheeks out and shaking his head as Blackburn hit the woodwork for about the 4th time was classic
Thought I was the only one that noticed that Terry Heilbronn, one of the best, he reffed our semi final the year before against Wigan at home
